Twitter co-founder Biz Stone blogged today about Twitter’s current outlook on advertising. How exactly are they looking at it?: they’re still exploring different avenues, and they’re not ruling it out. Stone says that while they aren’t considering throwing up banner ads, they’re looking into things like management tools and discovery mechanisms – in general, offerings that would better connect businesses and individuals and generate revenue.
Interesting. How do you feel about businesses being better equipped to engage with you via Twitter? Do you think it would enable them to hone in on users who are more likely to be interested in what they’re offering? Or would it promote even more marketing spam that’s already permeating the platform?
